Course Description:
Health and Wellness covers physical, emotional, and mental health from a research-based Biblical perspective.
Topics include basic anatomy and physiology, nutrition, fitness, disease, safety, mental health issues and tools, and substance abuse.
Class Time & Homework:
- Classroom time is highly interactive with hands-on activities, group discussions, project presentations, and brief lectures.
- Most assignments can be completed in 1-2 hours per week.
Homework will often consist of small projects to be shared with the rest of the class the following week.
Grading:
- 50% homework (graded for accuracy)
- 20% class participation
- 20% tests
- 10% final project
